Abstract

A multidirectional lighting device includes a display light base carrying a display light emitter, the display light base being substantially opaque, and an accent light emitter. A display lens receives light from the display light emitter. An at least partially translucent housing carries an accent lens, the housing including a display lens opening through which the display lens protrudes. A light blocking ring: substantially circumscribing a portion of the display light emitter; fittable within the display lens opening of the housing; and is positioned atop the display light base. The light blocking ring is operable to block light emitted from the display lens from entering the housing so that light emitted from the display lens is isolated from light emitted by the accent light.

Dependent claims

A multidirectional lighting device, comprising:

a lighting unit including:
a display light base carrying a display light emitter, the display light base being substantially opaque so as to prevent or limit light emitted from the display light emitter to pass therethrough;
and
an accent light emitter;
a display lens receiving light from the display light emitter;
an at least partially translucent housing carrying an accent lens, the housing including a display lens opening through which the display lens protrudes;
and
a light blocking ring:
substantially circumscribing a portion of the display light emitter;
fittable within the display lens opening of the housing;
and
positioned atop the display light base;
the light blocking ring operable to block light emitted from the display lens from entering the housing so that light emitted from the display lens is isolated from light emitted by the accent light.
