Electroporation device and method

A device for supplying an electroporation chamber comprising:

• a tubing set comprising:
• a main tube having a first end for connection to a cell suspension input bag and a second end for connection to an electroporation chamber;
• a first branch tube having at one end a first junction with the main tube and having another end being configured for connection with an exogenous material input bag;
• a second branch tube having at one end a second junction with the main tube placed between the first junction and the second end, and another end being configured for connection to an output container;
• and
• one or more pumps configured to act upon the tubing set and controllable to displace fluid within the tubing set;
• wherein during operation, mixing of a cell suspension from the cell suspension input bag with exogenous material from the exogenous material input bag occurs at the first junction.

A method for electroporation comprising:

• providing a tubing set;
• providing an electroporation chamber;
• providing a stock bag containing a cell culture in liquid suspension;
• providing a stock bag containing exogenous material in liquid suspension;
• introducing a predefined quantity of the cell culture and the exogenous material into the electroporation chamber, wherein the cell culture and the exogenous material are mixed within the tubing set prior to entering the electroporation chamber;
• supplying electroporation signals to the electroporation chamber so as to cause electroporation to contents within the electroporation chamber;
• and
• emptying the electroporation chamber into a storage container.
