Abstract
A titanate compound particle powder is surface-treated using a surface treatment agent, such that the titanate compound particle powder has an average primary particle size of 10 to 70 nm, a specific surface area of 30 m2/g or less, and an adsorption parameter of 15 or less as determined by water vapor adsorption measurement.
Claims6
A titanate compound particle powder surface-treated with a surface treatment agent, having an average primary particle size of 10 to 70 nm, a specific surface area of 30 m2/g or less, and an adsorption parameter of 15 or less as determined by water vapor adsorption measurement.
A method for producing a surface-treated titanate compound particle powder, characterized by the method comprising:
- adding a solvent that forms an azeotropic mixture with water in which a surface treatment agent is dissolved to a reaction cake of a titanate compound obtained by a hydrothermal synthesis method,
- mixing the azeotropic mixture, and
- drying the azeotropic mixture under reduced pressure.
