Abstract

A server according to one embodiment disclosed herein includes a controller configured to receive vehicle data including a current state of charge (SOC) of a battery, an end SOC that is an end point in calculating a distance to empty, a state of health (SOH) of the battery, and travel data of a target vehicle, classify valid data including information about the target vehicle traveling a preset distance or more from the travel data, calculate an average fuel efficiency of the target vehicle based on the valid data, and calculate a first distance to empty of the target vehicle based on the current SOC, the end SOC, the SOH, and the average fuel efficiency.
