Abstract
An unloading and loading apparatus unloads garments from a printing pallet of a printer and loads the garment to a conveyor for post-printing processing. An arm travels between a pallet unloading position and the conveyor; and two, or more typically four, grippers attached to the arm grip the garment from the printing pallet and transfer the garment to the conveyor for post printing processing. The grippers exert a gripping strength on the garment which is set according to characteristics of the respective garment.

An unloading and loading apparatus for unloading a garment from a printing pallet of a printer and loading the garment to a conveyor for post-printing processing, the apparatus comprising:
- an arm configured to travel between a pallet unloading position and the conveyor;
- and
- at least two grippers, attached to said arm, for gripping the garment from the printing pallet and transferring the garment to the conveyor for post printing processing, wherein the grippers are controllable to exert a gripping strength on the garment which gripping strength is selected according to characteristics of the respective garment.

An unloading and loading method for unloading a garment from a printing pallet of a printer and loading the garment to a conveyor for post-printing processing, the method comprising:
- obtaining a gripping strength for the garment, which gripping strength is selected according to characteristics of the respective garment;
- gripping the garment from the printing pallet using the obtained gripping strength;
- transferring the garment to the conveyor for post printing processing;
- and
- releasing the garment at said conveyor for post printing processing.
