Abstract
A display system comprising a rigid building material having a density great than 1300 kg/m3 and having a hole therein; a back support extending from onto a back face of the rigid building material, a front building material support a body and a flange extending from a front side of a bottom of the body onto a front face of the rigid building material, and a connector having a head on a front side of the rigid building material and a pin extending from the head on the front face of the rigid building material, through the hole in the rigid building material and secured in the hole in the back support member.
Claims17
A display system comprising:
- a rigid building material having a density great than 1300 kg/m3 and having a hole therein;
- a back building material support comprising:
- a back structural member;
- a handle extending from a top of the back structural member to create an opening by which the rigid building material can be lifted or moved;
- a back support member extending from a rear side of a bottom of the back structural member onto a back face of the rigid building material, wherein the back support member has a plurality of holes above the rigid building material and a hole aligned with the hole in the rigid building material;
- a front building material support comprising:
- a body with a plurality of holes for receiving screws to connect to the back support;
- and
- a flange extending from a front side of a bottom of the body onto a front face of the rigid building material;
- and
- a connector having a head on a front side of said rigid building material and a pin extending from said head on said front face of said rigid building material, through said hole in said rigid building material and secured in said hole in said back support member.
A point of purchase display system comprising:
- a rigid building material having a hole therein wherein said rigid building material has a density great than 1300 kg/m3;
- a structural support having a handle configured to lift said rigid building material;
- and
- a male-female connector connecting said structural support to said rigid building material through said hole in said rigid building material.
A method for displaying rigid building materials, the method comprising:
- (a) making a hole in a rigid building material having a density great than 1300 kg/m3 with a water jet or laser;
- (b) connecting a building material support to said rigid building material, where said building material support comprises
- i. a structural member with an I-shaped cross-section;
- ii. a front support member extending from a front side of a bottom of said structural member onto a front face of said rigid building material;
- iii. a back support member extending from a rear side of a bottom of said structural member onto a back face of said rigid building material, said back support having a hole for receiving a pin, said hole in said back support being aligned with said hole in said rigid building material;
- and
- iv. a connector having a head on a front side of said rigid building material and a pin extending from said head on said front face of said rigid building material, through said hole in said rigid building material and secured in said hole in said back support member;
- and
- (c) sliding the I-beam support connected to the building material into a slot in a display stand.
