Water filter and home appliance with water filter and method for coupling water filter

A home appliance comprising:

• a cabinet;
• a head provided in the cabinet and connected to a water source;
• and
• a water filter detachably coupled to the head,
• wherein the water filter comprises:
• a filter member;
• a filter housing configured to receive the filter member,
• a filter cap configured to seal an opened upper opening of the filter housing and having an inlet portion and an outlet portion protrudingly formed on the filter cap, and
• a coupling member rotatably provided on the filter cap and configured to be coupled to the head,
• wherein the inlet portion and the outlet portion are configured to, based on the coupling member being rotated relative to the filter cap and the filter housing to be coupled to the head, move upward and connect to a flow path of the head.

A method of mounting a water filter, comprising:

• aligning the water filter below a head;
• inserting a coupling member of the water filter into the head;
• and
• rotating the coupling member relative to a filter housing and a filter cap such that the filter cap moves upward to cause an inlet portion and an outlet portion provided on the filter cap to connect to a flow path of the head.
