Systems and methods are provided for estimating personalized golf club performance parameters across a golfer's full set based on their home or reference location and known carry distance with at least one club. The disclosed technology enables accurate club gapping analysis without expensive launch monitor equipment. The system retrieves atmospheric data for the golfer's location, receives an achieved carry distance for a specified club, and receives inputs characterizing the golfer's launch style. Using a physics-based ball flight model with iterative calculations that account for air density effects, the system determines the ball speed producing the achieved carry distance. The system then applies a speed modification factor to calculate personalized parameters for other clubs based on reference data. The result is comprehensive gapping analysis showing ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and carry distance for each club, enabling optimized club selection. The technology may incorporate atmospheric measurement and effective altitude determination capabilities for enhanced accuracy.
