Intermediate connector, and fpc board used for intermediate connector

An intermediate connector, comprising:

• a housing having a first housing portion and a second housing portion, in which a first insertion space, into which a first board is inserted, is provided in the first housing portion, and a second insertion space, into which a second board is inserted, is provided in the second housing portion;
• a plurality of signal terminals, each installed so as to span both the first housing portion and the second housing portion in a first direction, whose first signal contacts are provided in the first insertion space and whose second signal contacts are provided in the second insertion space;
• and
• a plurality of ground terminals, each installed so as to span both the first housing portion and the second housing portion in the first direction, whose first ground contacts are provided in the first insertion space and whose second ground contacts are provided in the second insertion space, and which are arranged side by side in a mutually adjacent relationship with the plurality of signal terminals in a second direction intersecting the first direction;
• wherein the intermediate connector is adapted to be capable of attachment to a third board upon insertion of at least a portion of the second housing portion into a through-hole provided in the third board, and
• through-openings linking the exterior of the second housing portion and base portions located between the first ground contacts and the second ground contacts of the ground terminals are provided through the second housing portion in a third direction intersecting both the first direction and the second direction.
