Abstract

To provide a print layout generation apparatus capable of preventing or suppressing an increase in effort and occurrence of errors in work such as sorting and collating of printed sheets. The print layout generation apparatus includes a hardware processor. The hardware processor acquires a plurality of print jobs, and analyzes the plurality of print jobs to acquire the number of print pages of each of the print jobs. The hardware processor is capable of imposing images of the print jobs along a first direction of one sheet and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and imposes the images of the print jobs that differ per column along the first direction of the one sheet, side by side in a plurality of lines along the second direction, based on the number of print pages of each of the print jobs.
