Abstract
A nonwoven material includes plant-based fibers, the plant-based fibers being consolidated together by an aqueous solution comprising a bio-based binder in presence of a carboxylic acid, the bio-based binder being a cellulose derivative, and/or a salt thereof. A weight ratio of the cellulose derivative, and/or a salt thereof, to the carboxylic acid may be from 1.2:1 to 1.7:1. The nonwoven material may further have a water content of 7% or lower.

A nonwoven material comprising plant-based fibers, the plant-based fibers being consolidated together by an aqueous solution comprising a bio-based binder in presence of a carboxylic acid, the bio-based binder being a cellulose derivative, and/or a salt thereof,
- wherein a weight ratio of the cellulose derivative, and/or a salt thereof, to the carboxylic acid is from 1.2:1 to 1.7:1.
A nonwoven material comprising plant-based fibers, the plant-based fibers being consolidated together by an aqueous solution comprising a bio-based binder in presence of a carboxylic acid, the bio-based binder being a cellulose derivative, and/or a salt thereof,
- wherein the nonwoven material has a water content of 7% or lower.
A nonwoven material comprising plant-based fibers, the plant-based fibers being consolidated together by an aqueous solution comprising a bio-based binder in presence of a carboxylic acid, the bio-based binder being a cellulose derivative, and/or a salt thereof,
- wherein the plant-based fibers consist of natural fibers.
