A method for preparing O-acetyl-homoserine comprising a main culture step of culturing an O-acetyl-homoserine producing strain in a medium to produce O-acetyl-homoserine,
- wherein a potassium salt is supplied to the medium.
A medium comprising a carbon source, a nitrogen source, a phosphorus source, and a potassium salt,
- wherein an O-acetyl-homoserine producing strain is capable to produce O-acetyl-homoserine cultured in the medium.
