Refuse truck with helical pump

A system, comprising:

• a refuse vehicle comprising:
• a first electric power take-off system including a first motor configured to drive a first helical gear pump to convert electrical power received from an energy storage device into hydraulic power to operate a first component of the refuse vehicle;
• and
• a second electric power take-off system including a second motor configured to drive a second helical gear pump to convert electrical power received from the energy storage device into hydraulic power to operate a second component of the refuse vehicle;
• wherein, when a valve is in a first configuration, the first electric power take-off system is fluidly independent of the second electric power take-off system, and wherein, when the valve is in a second configuration, the first electric power take-off system is fluidly coupled with the second electric power take-off system;
• and
• a controller in communication with the valve, the controller configured to switch the valve between the first configuration and the second configuration.

A control system, comprising:

• a first electric power take-off system including a first motor configured to drive a first helical gear pump to convert electrical power received from an energy storage device into hydraulic power to operate a first component of a vehicle;
• a second electric power take-off system including a second motor configured to drive a second helical gear pump to convert electrical power received from the energy storage device into hydraulic power to operate a second component of the vehicle;
• and
• a controller configured to selectively fluidly couple the first electric power take-off system with the second electric power take-off system.
