Inkjet recording apparatus

An inkjet recording apparatus comprising:

• a head unit including a recording head having a nozzle surface for ejecting ink;
• a cleaning member for cleaning the nozzle surface with a detergent;
• and
• a container member which contains the detergent and which, by being pressed from above to below, is displaced from a first position to a second position, the container member functioning in the second position to supply the cleaning member with the detergent, wherein
• the container member includes:
• a containing part which has an upwardly-opening recessed area for containing the detergent therein;
• and
• a base part which adjoins the containing part in a first direction perpendicular to an up/down direction, and
• the head unit has a head base for holding the recording head, and
• the head base presses the base part from above to below without making contact with the containing part so that the container member is displaced from the first position to the second position.
