A billiards cue extension adapted to self-center an inserted billiards cue shaft includes a shaft defining an interior cavity, a fastener defined on an exterior surface of a proximal end of the shaft, an extension tip fixed to a distal end of the shaft; and a terraced concave insert friction fit to the interior cavity.
