Abstract
A device is provided for holding a post-operative bodily fluid drain reservoir with an attachment loop. The device includes a cord and a reservoir coupling device. The cord defines a first loop for extending around a neck of a patient. The reservoir coupling device is operatively associated with the cord and is configured to releasably couple to the attachment loop of the post-operative bodily fluid drain reservoir.
Claims20
A post-operative bodily fluid drain reservoir device comprising:
- one or more cord defining a first loop for extending around a neck of a patient and including one or more buckle for adjusting a length of the first loop;
- one or more coupling device operatively associated with the one or more cord and presenting a first end, a body portion extending from the first end to define a coupling loop, and a second end connected to the body portion, the first end being shiftable between a first position in which the first end is proximal to the second end and a second position in which the first end is distal relative to the second end to define a gap;
- and
- a post-operative bodily fluid drain reservoir having one or more attachment loop operable to be inserted through the gap of the one or more coupling device to secure the post-operative bodily fluid drain reservoir to the one or more cord.
A device for holding a post-operative bodily fluid drain reservoir with an attachment loop, the device comprising:
- a cord defining a loop for extending around a neck of a patient;
- a coupling device operatively associated with the cord and presenting a first end, a body portion extending from the first end to define a coupling loop, and a second end connected to the body portion proximal to the first end, at least a portion of the coupling device formed of flexible material so that the first and second ends are operable to be shifted away from one another to define a gap for receiving a portion of the attachment loop;
- a magnet embedded in the first end;
- and
- a magnetic material embedded in the second end.
A device for holding a post-operative bodily fluid drain reservoir with an attachment loop, the device comprising:
- a cord defining a loop for extending around a neck of a patient;
- a coupling device operatively associated with the cord and presenting a first end, a body portion extending from the first end to define a coupling loop, and a second end connected to the body portion, the first end being shiftable between a first position in which the first end is proximal to the second end and a second position in which the first end is distal relative to the second end to define a gap for receiving a portion of the attachment loop;
- a magnet attached to the first end;
- and
- a magnetic material attached to the second end so that a magnetic field of the magnet biases the first end to the first position.
