Determining fetal parameters using an electrode grid patch on the maternal abdomen

A system comprising:

• at least one electrode grid patch comprising a plurality of electrodes that are disposed in at least one array, the at least one electrode grid patch being configured:
• for placement on a maternal abdomen of a pregnant patient;
• and
• to conduct potentials of the pregnant patient and a fetus of the pregnant patient;
• a processing device;
• and
• a memory comprising instructions that are executable by the processing device to:
• receive an electromyogram (EMG) signal from the at least one electrode grid patch;
• determine for the fetus, based on the EMG signal, a fetal position;
• and
• provide for display on a display device, the fetal position.

A method comprising:

• determining fetal parameters using at least one electrode grid patch that is disposed on a maternal abdomen of a pregnant patient, by:
• receiving an abdominal electromyogram (EMG) signal from the at least one electrode grid patch, the at least one electrode grid patch comprising a plurality of electrodes that are disposed in at least one array;
• and
• determining for a fetus of the pregnant patient, based on the EMG signal, a fetal station;
• and
• providing for display on a display device, the fetal station.
