Hand Protection Device

Abstract

A hand protection device for use by workers in the food processing industry is described herein. The hand protection device may comprise a protective component configured to cover a portion of a surface of a hand of a wearer extending between an index finger and an adjacent thumb of the wearer. The protective component may be affixed to a glove such that the protective component and the glove together are configured to cover the outer surface of the hand of the wearer. The protective component may be integrated into the glove or may be configured to be removably attached to the outer surface of the glove. The protective component may be configured to provide protection against lacerations, abrasions, and/or burns from a spit in at least the portion of the surface of the hand of the wearer covered by the protective component.
