A primary cell including at least one anode, wherein the at least one anode includes an alkali metal as active anode material, at least one cathode, wherein the at least one cathode includes an active cathode material, an electrolyte, wherein the electrolyte includes at least one additive, wherein that the at least one additive is a cyano-cycloalkane of the formula with y representing a cycloalkane with at least 3 and at most 15 C-atoms.
