Abstract

A nuclear power plant including a nuclear reactor includes an output control unit 70 that controls opening of an extraction valve 13 according to a load request and an energy storage portion that stores renewable energy. The output control unit 70 controls a temperature of feedwater to the nuclear reactor based on the opening of the extraction valve 13 and the amount of energy stored in the energy storage portion. Accordingly, a nuclear power plant and a power generation method in the nuclear power plant capable of improving load following capability of the nuclear power plant and further stabilizing nuclear reactor output is provided.
