Abstract
A clock comprises an alarm clock housing having a front face, a clock display occupying at least a portion of the front face, a control on the housing for activating a shade positioning function, and a processor within the housing. The processor is responsive to the control for generating at least one shade positioning command to be transmitted to at least one motorized window shade, so as to cause the motorized window shade to move to one or more position at one or more corresponding predetermined interval relative to an alarm time.
Claims24
An electric load controller, comprising:
- electric load control circuitry to:
- receive a sunrise time;
- receive a show start time;
- determine a first plurality of motorized window treatment positions, each of the motorized window treatment positions corresponding to respective ones of a first plurality of times between the received show start time and the received sunrise time;
- wherein the motorized window treatment is positioned at a first motorized window treatment position at the show start time and a second motorized window treatment position at the sunrise time;
- and
- wherein the second position allows greater external illumination into a space
- determine a first plurality of illumination device power levels, each of the illumination device power levels corresponding to respective ones of a second plurality of times between the show start time and the sunrise time;
- wherein the illumination device power level corresponds to a first light output level in the space at the show start time and at a second light output level in the space at the sunrise time;
- and
- wherein the second light output level in the space is greater than the first light output level in the space;
- communicate the first plurality of motorized window treatment positions and the first plurality of times to the motorized window treatment;
- and
- communicate the first plurality of illumination device power levels and the second plurality of times to dimmer circuitry operatively coupled to the illumination device.
An electric load control method, comprising:
- receiving by electric load control circuitry, data representative of a sunrise time;
- receiving by the electric load control circuitry, data representative of a show start time;
- determining by the electric load control circuitry, a first plurality of motorized window treatment positions, each of the motorized window treatment positions corresponding to respective ones of a first plurality of times between the received show start time and the received sunrise time;
- wherein the motorized window treatment is positioned at a first motorized window treatment position at the show start time and a second motorized window treatment position at the sunrise time;
- and
- wherein the second position allows greater external illumination into a space;
- determining by the electric load control circuitry, a first plurality of illumination device power levels, each of the illumination device power levels corresponding to respective ones of a second plurality of times between the show start time and the sunrise time;
- wherein the illumination device power level corresponds to a first light output level in the space at the show start time and at a second light output level in the space at the sunrise time;
- and
- wherein the second light output level in the space is greater than the first light output level in the space;
- causing by the electric load control circuitry, a communication of the first plurality of motorized window treatment positions and the first plurality of times to the motorized window treatment;
- and
- causing by the electric load control circuitry, a communication the first plurality of illumination device power levels and the second plurality of times to dimmer circuitry operatively coupled to the illumination device.
A non-transitory, machine-readable, storage device that includes instructions that, when executed by electric load control circuitry, causes the electric load control circuitry to:
- receive data representative of a sunrise time;
- receive data representative of a show start time;
- determining a first plurality of motorized window treatment positions, each of the motorized window treatment positions corresponding to respective ones of a first plurality of times between the received show start time and the received sunrise time;
- wherein the motorized window treatment is positioned at a first motorized window treatment position at the show start time and a second motorized window treatment position at the sunrise time;
- and
- wherein the second position allows greater external illumination into a space;
- determine a first plurality of illumination device power levels, each of the illumination device power levels corresponding to respective ones of a second plurality of times between the show start time and the sunrise time;
- wherein the illumination device power level corresponds to a first light output level in the space at the show start time and at a second light output level in the space at the sunrise time;
- and
- wherein the second light output level in the space is greater than the first light output level in the space;
- cause a communication of the first plurality of motorized window treatment positions and the first plurality of times to the motorized window treatment;
- and
- cause a communication the first plurality of illumination device power levels and the second plurality of times to dimmer circuitry operatively coupled to the illumination device.
