A hard film formed body that improves hydrogen embrittlement resistance and wear resistance and has superior flaking resistance, a machine component, and a bearing using the hard film formed body include several features. For example, a hard film formed body includes a base material, and a hard film that suppresses entering and diffusing of a hydrogen atom, on a surface of the base material. A ratio of the Vickers hardness of the hard film to the Vickers hardness of the base material is 0.90-1.20. The Vickers hardness of each of the base material and the hard film is 500-1,000 Hv. The hard film is a Ni coating film.
