Provided is an optical resin capable of suppressing the occurrence of birefringence due to stress such as internal stress and external stress. An optical resin, in which, regarding a 13C-NMR spectrum of the resin, when a range in which a chemical shift is 141 ppm or higher and 147 ppm or lower is defined as a first range, and a range in which a chemical shift is 135 ppm or higher and 141 ppm or lower is defined as a second range, a ratio of a peak area of a peak in the first range to a peak area of a peak in the second range is 0.55 or less.
