Abstract
A cementitious mixture comprising calcium magnesium silicates is disclosed. In one embodiment, the cementitious mixture may be a calcium sulfoaluminate cement clinker formed of at least 60% by weight of industrial byproducts. The cementitious mixture may have a calcium magnesium silicate content of at least 10% by weight and may demonstrate reduced carbon emissions compared to CSA cement clinkers having little to no magnesium content.

A cementitious mixture, comprising:
- calcium magnesium silicates at a concentration of at least 10% by weight.
A method for cement clinker production, comprising:
- heating a mixture comprising at least 70% by weight of industrial byproducts;
- forming calcium magnesium silicate phases in the mixture during the heating;
- and
- cooling the mixture to obtain a cement clinker.

- at least 10% by weight of calcium magnesium silicates;
- and
- a ratio of ye'elimite to all cement clinker phases of greater than 35%.
