Abstract
An elevator system, including: an upright post, extending vertically along an elevator hoistway and accommodating a guide rail; and a guide shoe, for engaging the guide rail, during an installation of the elevator system via a traction device, the guide shoe is temporarily installed to the upright post via a fastening device to engage the guide rail.

An elevator system, comprising:
- an upright post, extending vertically along an elevator hoistway and accommodating a guide rail;
- and
- a guide shoe, for engaging the guide rail,
- which is characterized in that, during an installation of the elevator system via a traction device, the guide shoe is temporarily installed to the upright post via a fastening device to engage the guide rail.
