Abstract

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) in communication with a wireless network includes a processor and a transceiver. The WTRU transmits, to the wireless network, a transport block (TB) construction assumption, where the TB construction assumption is associated with uplink (UL) data that is to arrive at the WTRU. The WTRU processes a TB based on the TB construction assumption, receives a UL grant for the TB, determines that an assumption signaled in the UL grant matches the TB construction assumption, and transmits the TB to the wireless network using the UL grant. Upon a failure to determine that the assumption signaled in the UL grant matches the TB construction, the WTRU may divide a resource allocation of the UL grant proportional to at least one of a prioritized bit rate, an amount of data bits in a traffic shaping bucket of the WTRU, buffered data levels, or data flow priorities.
