Genderless interface connector pull tool

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising stored instructions for fabricating a tool, the instructions when executed by at least one processor cause the at least one processor to:

• transmit instructions for the tool to be printed on a three-dimensional (3D) printer, the tool comprising:
• a clamp configured hold a tube connector that joins a first tube and a second tube, the tube connector having a membrane fluidly separating the first tube from the second tube;
• one or more rails located on a top surface of the clamp;
• and
• a hand grip including:
• a hook configured to engage with a tab of the membrane;
• and
• one or more openings dimensioned to fit with the one or more rails such that the hand grip slides on the one or more rails to pull the tab, causing the membrane to be at least partially removed, fluidly connecting the first tube to the second tube;
• and
• fabricate the tool using the 3D printer.

A method for using a tool having a clamp, one or more rails, and a hand grip, the method comprising:

• clamping the tool over a tube connector that joins a first tube and a second tube, the tube connector having a membrane fluidly separating the first tube from the second tube;
• and
• engaging a hook of the hand grip to a tab that is connected to the membrane;
• and
• pulling the hand grip to slide along the one or more rails to cause the membrane to be removed from the tube connector along the one or more rails'direction, wherein the hand grip includes one or more openings dimensioned to fit with the one or more rails such that the hand grip slides on the pair of rails to pull the tab.
