Abstract
A method and apparatus for marking a target with a radiopaque marker is disclosed. The method may include providing a radiopaque filament and inserting at least portion of the radiopaque filament into tissue. The filament may extend continuously and at last partially around a perimeter of the target so that the filament is disposed in a plurality of surgical planes to demarcate the target with the radiopaque maker.
Claims21
A radiopaque marker, comprising:
- an a first elongate flexible radiopaque filament configured to be disposed at a treatment site in a patient, wherein the first elongate flexible radiopaque filament is visible under radiographic imaging, and
- wherein the first elongate flexible radiopaque filament comprises one or more indicators, the one or more indicators configured to allow an operator to distinguish and contrast the radiopaque marker from an adjacent radiopaque marker.
