Abstract

A shoe includes a sole and an upper over the sole. The sole includes a base and an insert. The base includes a toe portion, a heel portion, and an arch portion arranged between the toe portion and the heel portion. The insert is arranged in the arch portion of the base and further protrudes into the arch portion from a first surface of the base. A lowermost position of the insert is a lowest point of a first surface of the sole with respect to a ground. The upper includes a toe portion, a rear portion, and a tongue arranged between the toe portion and the rear portion of the upper. The insert is configured to provide pressure into an arch region of a foot of a user when the shoe is worn and the sole is pressed by the user.
