Method for controlling washing machine

A control method of a washing machine equipped with a tub configured to store wash water, a drum provided in the tub to be rotatable and configured to load laundry therein, and a steam generator configured to supply steam to an interior of the tub, the washing machine comprising a sterilization washing procedure of performing sterilization of the laundry, the control method comprising:

• laundry amount and quality sensing of determining a laundry amount and a laundry quality of the laundry;
• washing of performing a washing process in accordance with the laundry amount;
• first rinsing of performing a first rinsing process and rinsing-spin-drying in accordance with the laundry amount;
• sterilization of varying a supply amount and a supply time of the steam in accordance with the laundry quality;
• and
• second rinsing of performing a second rinsing process in accordance with the laundry amount.
