Abstract
The present invention provides a lyocell fiber with increased tendency to fibrillate, requiring a time of less than 80 minutes to obtain a 50° SR value according to ISO 5267-1: 1999 while the reduction of the working capacity [c N/tex*¾] at the 50° SR value is less than 50%, as well as a method for producing same and products comprising same.
Claims24
1-19. (canceled)
A method for producing a lyocell fiber, comprising:
- directly dissolving a cellulose-based pulp in a polar solvent to form a cellulose suspension;
- and
- extruding the cellulose suspension via dry-wet-spinning to obtain the lyocell fiber,
- wherein the lyocell fiber with increased tendency to fibrillate without chemical treatment,
- wherein the lyocell fiber requires a time of less than about 80 minutes to obtain a 50° SR value according to ISO 5267-1:1999, and
- wherein reduction of working capacity [cN/tex*%] at the 50° SR value is less than 50%.
