Laundry treating apparatus and method for controlling the same

A laundry treating apparatus comprising:

• a cabinet having a laundry inlet defined in a front side thereof;
• a tub disposed inside the cabinet and including an air outlet configured to discharge air and an air inlet disposed forwardly of the air outlet and configured to suck air;
• a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub and configured to accommodate laundry therein;
• a circulation duct disposed upwardly of the tub and defining a flow channel for guiding air discharged from the air outlet to the air inlet;
• a heat exchanger disposed inside a flow duct and disposed in front of an air circulator, wherein the heat exchanger is configured to dehumidify and heat air that has passed through the air outlet;
• a connection portion including a front connection portion connecting the air inlet with the circulation duct and a rear connection portion connecting the air outlet with the circulation duct;
• and
• a bracket including a coupling hole seated on the air outlet and allowing the rear connection portion to extend therethrough and be supported, a bracket body extending from the coupling hole and seated on a top surface of the tub, and a fastening hole extending through the bracket body and coupled to the top surface of the tub,
• wherein the bracket body is configured to extend in a cantilever shape from the coupling hole, and
• wherein the fastening hole is defined outwardly of the circulation duct.
