Abstract

This application provides a voice call method and devices, and relates to the field of wireless communication technologies. The method includes: redialing in an IMS in a preset manner after failing to initiate a call in an IMS domain, and trying to re-set up a voice call service in the IMS domain. The preset manner may include: directly redialing in the IMS domain; or, continuing trying to redial in the IMS domain within a timing duration, until time expires or the redial is successful; or, continuing trying to redial in the IMS domain within a preset count, until a redial count exceeds the preset count or the redial is successful. The method can resolve a problem of poor voice call quality since a call that can be clearly successfully redialed in an IMS domain is switched to a CS domain.

Dependent claims

A voice call method, applied to an electronic device, the method comprising:

receiving an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) domain call cancellation message, wherein the IMS domain call cancellation message comprises cause information for indicating call cancellation in an IMS domain;
and
performing re-registration in the IMS domain when the cause information is first information, wherein the re-registration is used for performing, by the electronic device, a voice call service in the IMS domain, and the first information is used for indicating that an IMS service for the electronic device is restored within a first duration.
