Abstract
A fire and protection system designed to provide fire protection/heat shielding for fuel filter clear bowls to pass a fire test as required by ABYC standards. The fire and protection system comprises a backplate and a clear fuel filter bowl shield.
Claims15
A system for protecting a marine vessel fuel filter bowl from fire and heat, comprising:
- a filter bowl shield constructed and arranged to prevent or minimize damage to a marine vessel fuel filter bowl from fire or heat;
- and
- a support plate constructed and arranged for securing said filter bowl shield thereto and supporting said.
