Abstract
A maintenance device includes a cap, a recovery part, an air pump, and a supply part. The cap is provided for an inkjet head and configured to be attached to a nozzle surface of the inkjet head. The recovery part has a vent port opened to an atmosphere and is configured to recover air from the cap. The air pump is configured to suck the air from the recovery part. The supply part is provided for the cap and configured to store a humidifying medium, generate a humidified air by passing air supplied from the air pump through the humidifying medium, and supply the humidified air to the cap.

A maintenance device comprising:
- a cap provided for an inkjet head and configured to be attached to a nozzle surface of the inkjet head;
- a recovery part which has a vent port opened to an atmosphere and is configured to recover air from the cap;
- an air pump configured to suck the air from the recovery part;
- and
- a supply part provided for the cap and configured to store a humidifying medium, generate a humidified air by passing air supplied from the air pump through the humidifying medium, and supply the humidified air to the cap.
