Abstract
A swing provides opposite seating and unimpeded symmetrically opposite access for a balanced body weight transfer onto two oppositely positioned swinging benches. The swinging benches are hinged within a frame including two intertwined and preferably substantially circular main frame elements, thereby providing wide symmetrically opposite bench access and support for preferably curved access platform for a preferably varying bench clearance.
Claims5
An oppositely seating swing comprising:
- a. a swing frame that is encompassing a swing opening, said swing frame comprising
- i. a first and a second main frame element,
- ii. a number of frame struts connecting said first and second frame elements,
- iii. a number of swing hinges providing a swinging axis at an inside top of said swing opening,
- iv. an access platform at an inside bottom of said swing opening,
- v. a number of frame feet at a bottom of said swing frame,
- b. a swinging structure comprising
- i. a first bench and a second bench opposite facing said first bench,
- ii. a number of bench holders holding said first and second benches in a hanging position below said swing axis rotationally free onto said swing hinges, and
- iii. a bench separator positioning said first and second benches at a distance to each other such that a lateral bench access is provided in between them, said bench separator being at a height above said access platform such that a user of predetermined height may unimpeded access said first and said second benches across said lateral bench access via said access platform.

- b. a swing encompassing frame comprising
- i. a swing opening across which said swinging structure is held swingingly via a number of swing hinges providing a swinging axis at an inside top of said swing encompassing frame, and
- ii. a skewed frame structure providing two diametrically opposite bench access routes
- such that users intending to at least occupy said double seating swing may intuitively visually identify from said skewed frame structure said two diametrically opposite bench access routes and oppositely approach said double seating swing.
