User interface for an automated massage system with body model and control object

A control system that controls a user interface sub-system in an automated massage table system, comprising:

• a signal interface that:
• receives an earlier version of a dynamic body model representing a massage recipient of an automated massage that is provided via a robotic arm;
• receives an updated version of the dynamic body model that is updated during the automated massage;
• receives, via the user interface sub-system, a user input associated with controlling the automated massage;
• outputs, to the user interface sub-system, a control signal associated with displaying a rendering;
• and
• outputs, to an automated massage controller, the user input associated with controlling the automated massage;
• and
• a processor that:
• includes a physically based rendering engine;
• and
• uses the physically based rendering engine to generate the control signal associated with displaying the rendering, wherein the rendering simultaneously includes:
• (1) a control object associated with controlling the automated massage that is provided via the robotic arm and (2) massage information associated with the automated massage that is provided via the robotic arm, including a touchpoint indicator showing in real time where the robotic arm is touching the massage recipient, wherein:
• the automated massage table system includes the user interface sub-system, the robotic arm, the automated massage controller, an armrest, and a headrest having a cutout.

A method for controlling a user interface sub-system in an automated massage table system, comprising:

• receiving an earlier version of a dynamic body model representing a massage recipient of an automated massage that is provided via a robotic arm;
• receiving an updated version of the dynamic body model that is updated during the automated massage;
• receiving, via the user interface sub-system, a user input associated with controlling the automated massage;
• outputting, to the user interface sub-system, a control signal associated with displaying a rendering;
• outputting, to an automated massage controller, the user input associated with controlling the automated massage;
• and
• uses a physically based rendering engine to generate the control signal associated with displaying the rendering, wherein the rendering simultaneously includes:
• (1) a control object associated with controlling the automated massage that is provided via the robotic arm and (2) massage information associated with the automated massage that is provided via the robotic arm, including a touchpoint indicator showing in real time where the robotic arm is touching the massage recipient, wherein:
• the automated massage table system includes the user interface sub-system, the robotic arm, the automated massage controller, an armrest, and a headrest having a cutout.

A computer program product for controlling a user interface sub-system in an automated massage table system, embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium, and comprising computer instructions for:

• receiving an earlier version of a dynamic body model representing a massage recipient of an automated massage that is provided via a robotic arm;
• receiving an updated version of the dynamic body model that is updated during the automated massage;
• receiving, via the user interface sub-system, a user input associated with controlling the automated massage;
• outputting, to the user interface sub-system, a control signal associated with displaying a rendering;
• outputting, to an automated massage controller, the user input associated with controlling the automated massage;
• and
• uses a physically based rendering engine to generate the control signal associated with displaying the rendering, wherein the rendering simultaneously includes:
• (1) a control object associated with controlling the automated massage that is provided via the robotic arm and (2) massage information associated with the automated massage that is provided via the robotic arm, including a touchpoint indicator showing in real time where the robotic arm is touching the massage recipient, wherein:
• the automated massage table system includes the user interface sub-system, the robotic arm, the automated massage controller, an armrest, and a headrest having a cutout.
