Abstract
A molded equipment pad having a top deck, side walls, underlying reinforcing radial ribs, and underlying reinforcing arc-shaped ribs. The arc-shaped ribs may include a series of concentric arc-shaped ribs that are centered on the center of the equipment pad and that extend toward the side walls of the pad and a number of distributed circular hubs. Alternatively, the arc-shaped ribs may include a series of concentric arc-shaped ribs that are centered on the center of the equipment pad that end short of the side walls, a series of opposing arc-shaped ribs that are centered on the corners of the equipment pad, and a number of distributed circular hubs.

A method, comprising:
- enabling a user to:
- access a pad including a deck, a sidewall, and a plurality of ribs, wherein the sidewall and the plurality of ribs extend from the deck such that the sidewall encloses the plurality of ribs, wherein the plurality of ribs includes a rib extending away from the sidewall, wherein the rib hosts a post-shaped fillet (i) having an opening capable of receiving an anti-vibration bumper and (ii) extending from the deck;
- and
- position an air conditioning unit on the deck.
A method, comprising:
- enabling a user to:
- access a pad including a deck, a sidewall, and a plurality of ribs, wherein the sidewall and the plurality of ribs extend from the deck such that the sidewall encloses the plurality of ribs, wherein the plurality of ribs includes at least two distributed hub walls where each distributed hub wall has a plurality of walls outwardly extending therefrom, wherein the at least two distributed hub walls is four hub walls, wherein the plurality of ribs includes at least two ribs extending between two distributed hub walls of the at least two distributed hub walls while avoiding extending from the two distributed hub walls, wherein the at least two ribs is (a) at least two ribs based on the two distributed hub walls being positioned non-diagonal to each other or (b) at least three ribs based on the two distributed hub walls being positioned diagonal to each other, wherein at least one of (a) the plurality of ribs segments the deck into four quadrants where two of the four quadrants respectively enclose two distributed hub walls of the at least two distributed hub walls;
- (b) the at least two distributed hub walls avoid sharing a common center with each other;
- or (c) the deck has a center point and the at least two distributed hub walls are not concentric with the center point;
- and
- position an air conditioning unit on the deck.
A method, comprising:
- enabling a user to:
- access a first pad comprising a first deck including a polymer material, wherein the first deck has a thickness t, wherein, for a fixed load applied to the first deck, a maximum deflection of the first deck is no greater than one half of a maximum deflection that would be exhibited, for the fixed load applied to a second deck of a second pad, and having a thickness greater than twice the thickness t, wherein the second deck includes the polymer material, wherein the first deck and the second deck are identically shaped in plan view;
- and
- position an air conditioning unit on the deck.
A method, comprising:
- enabling a user to:
- access a molded pad including a deck and a sidewall such that (a) the molded pad comprises plastic, (b) the deck includes a top side and a bottom side, (c) the bottom side includes five structures emanating therefrom away from the bottom side, (d) each of the five structures is closed-shaped in cross-section parallel to the bottom side, (e) the sidewall extends from the deck such that the sidewall encloses the five structures, (f) each of the five structures is spaced apart from the sidewall, and (g) the five structures avoid being concentric with each other;
- and
- position an air conditioning unit on the top side.
