Pump control system for a refuse vehicle

A control system of a refuse vehicle, the control system comprising one or more processing circuits configured to:

• receive a first user input corresponding to moving a first actuator of the refuse vehicle from a first initial position to a first desired position;
• determine, based on the first user input, a first flow rate of hydraulic fluid output by a pump of the refuse vehicle to cause the first actuator to move from the first initial position to the first desired position;
• determine, based on the first flow rate of the hydraulic fluid, a first motor speed of a motor of the refuse vehicle that causes the pump to output the first flow rate of the hydraulic fluid;
• and
• operate the motor according to the first motor speed such that the pump outputs the first flow rate of the hydraulic fluid.

A method comprising:

• receiving a first user input corresponding to a first position of a first actuator of a refuse vehicle;
• determining, based on the first user input, a first flow rate of hydraulic fluid to cause the first actuator to move to the first position;
• determining, based on the first flow rate of the hydraulic fluid, a first motor speed of a first electric motor of the refuse vehicle that causes a first pump of the refuse vehicle to provide the first flow rate of the hydraulic fluid to the first actuator;
• and
• operating the first electric motor according to the first motor speed such that the first pump provides the first flow rate of the hydraulic fluid to the first actuator.
