Abstract
The invention provides systems, devices, and methods for the delivery, deployment, and positioning of magnetic compression devices at a desired site so as to improve the accuracy of anastomoses creation between tissues, organs, or the like.
Claims20
An apparatus for placement and control of a compression anastomosis device, the apparatus comprising:
- an elongated wand having a proximal end and a distal end, the elongated wand including a conduit running from the proximal end to the distal end creating a hollow channel through which the compression anastomosis device can be deployed, the elongated wand further having a hook shaped key extending from the distal end configured to manipulate the compression anastomosis device during deployment.
A system comprising:
- a delivery device;
- an apparatus for placement and control of a compression anastomosis device, the apparatus comprising an elongated wand having a proximal end and a distal end, the elongated wand including a conduit running from the proximal end to the distal end creating a hollow channel through which the compression anastomosis device can be deployed, the elongated wand further having a hook shaped key extending from the distal end configured to manipulate the compression anastomosis device during deployment, wherein the elongated wand is configured to be deployed from a distal end of the delivery device for deployment of the compression anastomosis device.
