Abstract

A tunable termination resistor circuit associated with a line driver in a line on-chip is provided. The circuit includes a first current source and a first resistor coupled to the first current source and the line. The circuit also includes a first diode comprising a first terminal and a second terminal, the first terminal being coupled to the first resistor and the second terminal being coupled to a gate of a transistor, the gate being coupled to a gate voltage. The circuit also includes a capacitor coupled to the gate and the source of the transistor. The circuit also includes a third resistor coupled in series to a fourth resistor in the line each of the third resistor and the fourth resistor comprising a resistance changed by the gate voltage. Dependent claims

A circuit, comprising:

a line driver coupled to a signal line and configured to output a signal voltage;
a transistor comprising a gate, a source, and a drain;
a first current source;
a first resistor coupled to the first current source and the signal line;
a first diode comprising a first terminal coupled to the first resistor and a second terminal coupled to the gate of the transistor;
a capacitor coupled to the gate and the source of the transistor;
and
a first termination resistor coupled in series to a second termination resistor in the signal line, the first termination resistor comprising a first end coupled to the source of the transistor and a second end coupled to the drain of the transistor,
wherein a resistance of the first termination resistor and a resistance of the second termination resistor are configured to be changed by a gate voltage of the transistor.
