Reuseable inspection hole cover for brick and block wall construction

A method of constructing a block wall comprising:

• creating an inspection opening in a base of the block wall;
• providing a cover apparatus including;
• a substantially flat front side adapted to be positioned adjacent to an inspection opening in the block wall,
• a rear side having a reinforcing structure comprising one or more ribs adapted to provide support to the front surface against pressure applied thereto, and
• one or more apertures formed through the cover from the front side to the rear side, each aperture configured to allow a flexible tether to pass therethrough for securing the cover to the block wall,
• wherein at least one of the one or more apertures is offset from a central region of the rear side,
• attaching the cover apparatus to the wall by passing a flexible tether through at least one of the one or more apertures and securing the tether to an internal feature of the block wall, and
• pouring concrete into an interior of the block wall such that the concrete flows through the inspection opening and contacts the cover.

A method of constructing a block wall comprising:

• creating an inspection opening in a base of the block wall;
• providing a cover apparatus including;
• a substantially flat front side adapted to be positioned adjacent to an inspection opening in the block wall,
• a rear side comprising one or more ribs adapted to provide support to the front surface, and
• one or more apertures formed through the cover from the front side to the rear side, each aperture allowing a flexible tether to pass therethrough for securing the cover to the block wall over the inspection opening,
• attaching the cover apparatus to the wall by passing a flexible tether through the one or more apertures and securing the tether to an internal feature of the block wall;
• and
• pouring concrete into an interior of the block wall such that the concrete flows through the inspection opening and contacts the cover.
