Pivotal folding seat for cabin crew and aircraft having the pivotal folding seat

A seat configuration for a passenger cabin of an airplane, the seat configuration comprising:

• a retaining wall for being permanently fastened to a main structure of the airplane when said retaining wall is in an intended installed state in the passenger cabin;
• vertical pivot pins;
• a seat for cabin crew members and having a seating surface being foldable between a sitting position and a rest position, said seat being fastened to said retaining wall only by means of at least one of said vertical pivot pins, said seat being rotatable about each of said vertical pivot pins between a first and a second end position, wherein the first and second end positions are offset with respect to one another through an angular range of at least 30° and at most 300°, wherein said seat is rotatable about said vertical pivot pins between at least two seat positions, wherein the sitting position of said seating surface is allowed in each of the seat positions;
• and
• said retaining wall is a partition wall for the passenger cabin, and said partition wall has a first wall portion and a second wall portion, wherein said first and second wall portions are separated by a gap and said seat is rotatable into one of the first and second end positions in which said seat is disposed in said gap.
