Vacuum sealable container

A vacuum sealable container for securing and transporting extraterrestrial samples, the vacuum sealable container defining an axial direction, a radial direction, and a transverse direction, the vacuum sealable container comprising:

• a container body defining a plurality of flange tabs extending along the radial direction from an outer circumferential edge of the container body, each flange tab of the plurality of flange tabs defining a through aperture, the through aperture being elongated along a direction tangential to the circumferential direction;
• and
• a lid assembly detachably coupled to the container body, the lid assembly selectively hermetically sealing the container body, wherein the lid assembly comprises:
• a cap member defining a plurality of lid tabs corresponding to the plurality of flange tabs, each of the plurality of lid tabs extending along the radial direction, the plurality of lid tabs being spaced apart from each other along the circumferential direction;
• at least one cam bracket attached to a top surface of the cap member at one of the plurality of lid tabs, the at least one cam bracket defining a threaded through hole along the axial direction;
• and
• a cam bolt extending through the at least one cam bracket and a corresponding lid tab of the plurality of lid tabs, the cam bolt including a first end and a second end opposite the first end, wherein the first end is hexagonal shaped to selectively attach to a handle and wherein the second end comprises a cam extension, the cam extension passing through a respective through aperture of a corresponding flange tab when the lid assembly is attached to the container body.
