A wheelchair training system comprising a first support assembly configured to rotatably support a first wheel of a wheelchair, and a second support assembly configured to rotatably support a second wheel of the wheelchair. Each of the first and second support assemblies comprises a main frame presenting an open interior space, a front rotor extending across the open interior space of the main frame, a rear rotor extending across the open interior space of the main frame, and a motor operably connected to either the front rotor or the rear rotor.
