• a photoelectric conversion layer containing a perovskite compound represented by formula (1) below:
• wherein
• A represents at least one cation selected from the group consisting of Cs+, CH3NH3+, and HC(NH2)2+,
• B represents at least one divalent cation selected from the group consisting of Pb2+ and Sn2+, and
• X represents at least one anion selected from the group consisting of halide anions,
• the method comprising:
• applying a precursor solution onto an application surface to form a coating;
• and
• annealing the coating to form the photoelectric conversion layer,
• wherein the precursor solution contains A, B, X1, and X2 in a molar ratio of 1:(1+0.5a):3:a,
• wherein X1 represents at least one anion selected from the group consisting of halide anions,
• wherein X2 represents Cl−, and
• wherein a represents a real number greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.21.
