Organic electroluminescent materials and devices

An organic light emitting device (OLED) comprising:

• an anode;
• a cathode;
• and
• an organic layer disposed between the anode and the cathode,
• wherein the organic layer comprises a compound of Formula II
• Formula II,
• wherein:
• M1 is Pd or Pt;
• rings C, E, and F are each independently a 5-membered or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring;
• Z1 and Z2 are each independently C or N;
• K1 and K2 are each independently selected from the group consisting of a direct bond, O, and S, wherein
• at least one of K1 and K2 is a direct bond;
• L1, L2, and L3 are each independently selected from the group consisting of a single bond, absent a bond, O, S, CR′R″, SiR′R″, BR′, and NR′, wherein at least one of L1 and L2 is present;
• each of X4′, X5′, and X1 to X6 is independently C or N;
• X1 is C if it is connected to ring C;
• the maximum number of N atoms that can be bonded together in Ring B is two;
• at least two adjacent X2 to X5 are carbon atoms, and the RB substituents that are attached to the carbon atoms are joined to form a fused 5-membered or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring;
• RA, RB, and RC, RE and RF each independently represent zero, mono, or up to a maximum allowed substitution to its associated ring;
• each of RA, RB, RC, R′, R″, RE, and RF is independently a hydrogen or a substituent selected from the group consisting of deuterium, fluorine, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, boryl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, aryl, heteroaryl, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, and combinations thereof;
• two substituents can be joined or fused together to form a ring where chemically feasible.

A consumer product comprising an organic light-emitting device (OLED) comprising:

• an anode;
• a cathode;
• and
• an organic layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, wherein the organic layer comprises a compound of Formula II
• wherein:
• M1 is Pd or Pt;
• rings C, E, and F are each independently a 5-membered or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring;
• Z1 and Z2 are each independently C or N;
• K1 and K2 are each independently selected from the group consisting of a direct bond, O, and S, wherein
• at least one of K1 and K2 is a direct bond;
• L1, L2, and L3 are each independently selected from the group consisting of a single bond, absent a bond, O, S, CR′R″, SiR′R″, BR′, and NR′, wherein at least one of L1 and L2 is present;
• each of X4′, X5′, and X1 to X6 is independently C or N;
• X1 is C if it is connected to ring C;
• the maximum number of N atoms that can be bonded together in Ring B is two;
• at least two adjacent X2 to X5 are carbon atoms, and the RB substituents that are attached to the carbon atoms are joined to form a fused 5-membered or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring;
• RA, RB, and RC, RE and RF each independently represent zero, mono, or up to a maximum allowed substitution to its associated ring;
• each of RA, RB, RC, R′, R″, RE, and RF is independently a hydrogen or a substituent selected from the group consisting of deuterium, fluorine, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, boryl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, aryl, heteroaryl, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, and combinations thereof;
• two substituents can be joined or fused together to form a ring where chemically feasible.
