Abstract
A thermal regulating device is provided that includes an inlet tube and an outlet tube disposed inside the inlet tube. An axial cartridge includes fins disposed along the axial cartridge, where the fins span a channel defined between an inner surface of the inlet tube and an outer surface of the outlet tube. The fins are segmented and offset in a staggered configuration from each other.

A thermal regulating device comprising:
- an inlet tube;
- an outlet tube disposed inside the inlet tube;
- and
- an axial cartridge having fins disposed along the axial cartridge, the fins spanning a channel defined between an inner surface of the inlet tube and an outer surface of the outlet tube, the fins being segmented and offset in a staggered configuration from each other.

A method comprising:
- removably mating a tubular, rod-shaped portion of a thermal regulating device in a device for thermal testing;
- and
- thermally regulating an axial cartridge disposed inside the tubular, rod-shaped portion via a thermal regulating fluid from a thermal regulating fluid source during the thermal testing of the device by thermally transferring a temperature of the thermal regulating fluid to an outer surface of the tubular, rod shaped portion via fins disposed along the axial cartridge, wherein the fins are segmented and offset in a staggered configuration from each other.
A thermal testing system comprising:
- an electronic circuit assembly comprising a heat sink;
- a thermal regulating device removably coupled to the heat sink of the electronic circuit assembly, the thermal regulating device comprising:
- an inlet tube;
- an outlet tube disposed inside the inlet tube;
- and
- an axial cartridge having fins disposed along the axial cartridge, the fins spanning a channel defined between an inner surface of the inlet tube and an outer surface of the outlet tube, the fins being segmented and offset in a staggered configuration from each other;
- and
- a thermal regulating fluid source removably coupled to the thermal regulating device to provide a thermal regulating fluid to the thermal regulating device.
