Counterfeit detection and provenance with grating interferometry, blockchain, and smart contracts

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
• receiving a part;
• causing formation of a trust anchor for the part by causing printing a geometrical code on a surface of the part;
• and
• causing imbedding of a cryptographic hash or a perceptual hash within an interior of the part using programmable invisible ink comprising porous regions within the part, wherein the porous regions are readable by X-ray, interferometry, or any combination thereof.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored which, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a part;
• causing formation of a trust anchor for the part by causing printing a geometrical code on a surface of the part;
• and
• causing imbedding of a cryptographic hash or a perceptual hash within an interior of the part using programmable invisible ink comprising porous regions within the part, wherein the porous regions are readable by X-ray, interferometry, or any combination thereof.
