Abstract
A multi-path communication method is performed by a first user equipment (UE), and includes: reporting measurement information to a network device via a direct path between the first UE and the network device; and determining that a second UE enters a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, wherein the second UE is a relay UE, added by the network device, for the first UE according to the measurement information, and an indirect path between the first UE and the network device is established via the second UE.
Claims22
A multi-path communication method, performed by a first user equipment (UE), comprising:
- reporting measurement information to a network device via a direct path between the first UE and the network device;
- and
- determining that a second UE enters a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, wherein the second UE is a relay UE, added by the network device, for the first UE according to the measurement information, and an indirect path between the first UE and the network device is established via the second UE.
A multi-path communication method, performed by a network device, comprising:
- receiving, via a direct path between a first user equipment (UE) and the network device, measurement information reported by the first UE;
- and
- determining a second UE to be added for the first UE according to the measurement information, wherein the second UE is a relay UE via which an indirect path between the first UE and the network device is established.

- a transceiver;
- a memory;
- and
- a processor, connected to the transceiver and the memory respectively,
- wherein the processor is configured to:
- report measurement information to a network device via a direct path between the first UE and the network device;
- and
- determine that a second UE enters a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, wherein the second UE is a relay UE, added by the network device, for the first UE according to the measurement information, and an indirect path between the first UE and the network device is established via the second UE.
